It’s Robert, Rob and Matt. In 2022, having worked together at Landauer Medical Physics for 3 years, we struck out on our own to set up TrueNorth.
And we could not be more excited about it. Our newfound freedom allows us to be more focused and flexible, while maintaining our excellent and affordable commissionings.
If you’ve worked with us before, you can rest assured that you’ll get the same team and the same experience pointing your clinic in the right direction. And if you’re new to us – welcome! We are excited to have you join us and can’t wait to share some of our exciting new work.
Prior to joining TrueNorth Medical Physics in 2021, Dr. Hayward worked as a product physicist for Sun Nuclear Corporation where he developed QA software with a focus on dose calculation algorithms. Rob is the co-author of several peer-reviewed publications related to applications of transport theory in both radiation therapy and reactor physics. He holds an MS in Medical Physics and a Ph.D in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Before joining TrueNorth Medical Physics, Dr. Staton served as Lead Commissioning Physicist at LANDAUER for 2.5 years and Senior Medical Physicist at Orlando Health Cancer Institute for 13 years. He performed funded research on clinical applications of adaptive radiation therapy and is the co-author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. He is active in residency education and is a frequently invited speaker. Additionally, Dr. Staton is an active board member of the Florida chapter of the AAPM and currently serves as an AAPM liaison to the CRCPD.
