Who We Are….
A Team Built by Independent Medical Physicists
TrueNorth was founded in 2022 by medical physicists with goal of being an independent company focused on following science, answering the true needs of clinics and their patients, and supporting the team helping to bring those goals to life.
Our company’s growing list of services includes: on-site and remote clinical medical physics, annual and monthly QA, commissioning, medical dosimetry, software development, radiation surveys, plus radiation shielding design. And we’re always seeking new ways to better serve our expanding client base.
We let the science and best practices dictate how we do things, but we usually lose the slightly awkward lab coats.
Who We’re Looking For….
We Call Them TrueNorthers (Alternately - More Than You Can Fit on a T-shirt)
With the goal of charting a better path for our industry, we are seeking others willing to help us find that path. It turns out the values we’ve come to embrace in that mission very easily tie into the qualities of the people we’re looking for. And because “great employees working together to better medical physics, dosimetry and more” doesn’t easily fit on a T-shirt, we’ve taken to calling these folks “TrueNorthers.”
We can do a graphic as a button instead of a plain button like above.

Willingly asks questions, yearns to continue learning and wants to share their own experience and knowledge in support of the TrueNorth team.
Plays well with others, because while we take our work seriously, we do like to have fun and be a little irreverent.
Wants to do the right thing and is willing to help TrueNorth live to that value.
Doesn’t mind bullet point lists.
Helps TrueNorth determine long-term and short-term business strategy.
Works with the team to continue to chart a path of growth through business referrals, special project work outside job descriptions, and by helping cultivate more future TrueNorthers.

This is just a sample map using no data. Unsurprisingly, you can spend loads of money on maps and map services. This was done for free. I can massage it a bit, but it would look similar to this, though I would get rid of this map key and make our own. The map is currently broken into: states where TN has worked, states where a TNer lives, and states that are both. Does that breakdown make the most sense?
What makes sense to include in a list like this? Number of places worked (as in clinics, hospitals, etc.), Number of states worked in? Number of states where a TrueNorther lives? Number of LINACs commissioning?
