Dosimetry Students Gain Hands-On Shielding Survey Experience

Dosimetry students received a real-world shielding survey training opportunity when a new TrueBeam linac was installed in a newly-constructed vault at Atrium Health Pineville Radiation Therapy Center in Charlotte, NC.

TrueNorth Managing Partner Robert Staton facilitated this invaluable educational experience for the students.

“We are grateful for companies like TrueNorth Medical Physics who help create such enriching learning environments for our future professionals,” commented Cara Sullivan, dosimetry supervisor/clinical education coordinator, Atrium Health. “Working with a team that is deeply invested in the future of Radiation Oncology is a tremendous advantage. This experience allowed our students to apply didactic knowledge to real-world scenarios,” she concluded.
